At First Baptist, we have something for everyone. We would love for you to come and be a part of our church family. If you are single or married, old or young, a family of one or a family of twenty-one, you are welcome here.

Below you will find a list of frequently asked questions. If you have a question that is not addressed, we encourage you to contact our Associate Pastor of Administration and Communication, Stacey Grimm at 336-226-2433, or stacey@FirstBaptistBurlington.com. She will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

I would like to visit First Baptist, Burlington. What should I do?
Our Sunday morning Worship Services are a great place to start. Our First Light early service begins at 9:00 a.m. and is held in our Fellowship Hall. Our Morning Worship service begins at 10:55 a.m. and is held in our Sanctuary. When you arrive our greeters will welcome you and help you find a seat. You will also receive a warm welcome from our members. If you will let us know you are coming, we will have a host waiting for you when you arrive.

I have never been to a Worship Service. How will I know what to do?
When you arrive for a Worship Service, you will receive a sheet of paper called a bulletin. This tells you everything that's going to happen. If you follow along in your bulletin, you'll know what to do.

I would like to bring my children. Is child care provided?
Yes. For most of our events, child care is provided for preschool age children. The people who work with our children are kind and friendly. They help with child care because they have a love for children and families.

Do you have a Safety and Security Policy for children and youth?
Yes. At First Baptist the safety and security of our children and youth is a high priority. All of the people who work with our children understand and adhere to our Children and Youth Workers Policy.

You have a big building. Where should I park and how do I get in?
We are currently under construction. The best place to park is in our side parking lot located on the corner of Broad Street and Maple Ave. There is special parking up front for guests. You can enter the building under the covered entrance. Once you enter, someone will be there to direct you to the place you need to go.

What do people wear?
If you are coming on a Sunday morning, you will find a wide range of dress. Men wear anything from suits and ties to knit shirts. Women wear everything from dresses and skirts to slacks. If you are coming on a Wednesday evening, most people are coming from work or school and they come as they are. We are much more interested in getting to know you than we are in what you are wearing. Come as you are anytime and you will be welcomed.

I'm not sure what I believe. What does it mean to be a Christian?
